I like the focus on the butterfly. But I feel that the butterfly is abit too bright. Overall the composition is great!

Thank you. Yes, it's a bit to bright. Unfortunately I wasn't able to correct it. This summer, I will do better.

Feedback from :iconartworldtoday:

Hi Sophia, I saw your wonderful picture in another group too. And in the first view to the thump I expect a ususal butterfly picture. As opend it to the large view I was really surprised and glad to have done it, because I saw a great picture. In my eyes you have done a great work. The focus to the butterflies eyes, the body, the mouthparts and the blossom are done well. The colors and also the image composition are fine, too. And I'm not the opinion that it is necessary for this picture to avoid the left hand blossoms of the lavender, as it is a nature/natural picture. Sometimes than the pictures gets "boring". I like this blossom parts, too because there is seen the wither of the blossoms besides the "old" butterfly which will not life that long any more (whats seen at the wings). This all could be interpreted like you want to show the transcience of life or beauty.
The only thing which could be a suggestion out of my view to avoid the over-exposed butterfly wing. But this I expect is not really manageable in the sunny and bright summer time :-) So thanks a lot for sharing your picture

Thank you very much for your kind words
You're right, it is not easy to handle the sunny conditions, but I will try to improve my skills this summer.

amazing work! i can only imagine how difficult it must be to capture a butterfly. if i may offer critique, my only suggestion would be to have only the one flower in the pic, because the second off to the side is somewhat distracting. i feel like it would have more impact this way. great work :)

everything will be alright in the end. if it's not alright, it's not the end.

good critique is always open, just ask :)
